Northern Sky Aurora Camera - Time-Lapse - May 10-11, 2024

This is a time-lapse made from footage from the same LIVE Aurora Stream Camera that I used to record the Missouri Skies Aurora LIVE UA-cam broadcast. The timelapse covers the entire aurora event from start to finish from here in Northern Missouri at latitude 40.25 N. The quality is HD but does have some issues here and there but it came out well considering it was a $150 surveillance camera. Se...
All Sky Camera May 2024 Super Storm - Aurora - TEST POST
Переглядів 129Місяць тому
Wanted to see how this looked on UA-cam. There was some problem with the camera recording the video and there are slight glitches throughout. I'll post now and may delete and repost later. These glitches are not fixable as it is data loss and not a rendering issue. The video is very cool nonetheless.

This is the entire night of Aurora Storming that was observed on May 10-11, 2024. Everyone is enthralled with the beautiful colors seen by camera but I thought that this was equally remarkable.

"7 1/2 Hour Aurora Time-Lapse" - FULL HD May 10-11, 2024 Albany, Missouri Here is a time-lapse that I created from 1,455 individual images made of the Great Solar Storm of 2024. It's not perfect but I didn't spend much time with it in the field and just let the camera sit and do its thing. At times you can see me moving about the yard trying to get that perfect shot with the other camera. A lit...

What type of equipment did you use?
Cool that Polaris is almost dead center.
Nice
Very cool, somehow. I liked it.
It never ceases to amaze me, and this was in Missouri!!
Why would a satellite dump precious fuel. It's cool whatever it is.
I LIVE IN WEST VIRGINA AND I DIDNT GET TO SEE THOSE BEATIFUL SKIES LIKE ALOT OF STATES DID. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THAT.
3:33 somethin turns 90°
Wow! at 01:17
Satellites do not move that slowly from our ground perspective unless they are way further away than your wide lens would ever record.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing. 👍1
“Satellite fuel dump” bwahaha 🫵🏽🤣🤣😂🤡🤡
I also saw this event from West Texas. Got some photos of it.
Satellites don't dump anything and they don't move slow.
amazing video. Thanks for sharing. sub & 👍99
Very well done - appreciate having it online to share.
Upper stage venting for deorbit.
Cool video. What is the spiraling object @2:34
Bug, maybe
Weird and wonderful. Thank you.
That’s a space x rocket.. not a satellite dumping fuel.
Almost 100% sure that’s a SpaceX Falcon 9 upper stage dumping fuel before reentry. I’ve seen this before! Very cool footage. :)
Satellites do not carry fuel!! They are either solar powered or nuclear-powered, but they don't have fuel to dump!!!
satellites use hypergolic thrusters or pressurized helium gas thrusters to move around in orbit, and to orient themselves. some use reaction wheels but that depends on the satellite, solar power doesnt provide thrust, and there hasnt been an unclassified nuclear satellite (if there is, that is revolutionary)
That looks more like rocket launch to me.
Absolutely gorgeous!
What happened to the resident that they need surveillance cameras filming the sky tho?
Hey, these are ET’s and also secret space program. Don’t believe anything our so called “government” tells you. Get real.
i appreciate the anti-government vigor but this was a chinese rocket launch, skynet-01, you can verify it yourself
You can see satellites dumping anything from orbit never heard of satellites doing that before
I caught this while taking photos of the aurora, I thought it was a galaxy I accidentally captured while on long-exposure!
Looks like a small galaxy .
99.9% sure that’s not a satellite✌️💫 Too bright and too slow. See them all the time here in Florida. Either it’s a Starlink Rocket or a UFO. Great catch. EDIT: I didn’t see the 1000X FF 😮 Not a Starlink either.
this is garunteed to be a satelite per definition, and likely artifical, too. Because it is night time on the ground does not mean it is night time in space, as the further you go from earth's surface the more it curves from you, thus the more sky you see. This increases sun exposure as it limits the amount of surface area of earth blocking the sun. Secondly, the higher in an orbit a satellite is the slower it appears to move. This is likely a satellite in medium earth orbit, but it could be low earth orbit too, depending on the time of day
it was a chinese rocket, i just checked and one lifted off an hour before this was filmed. "Smart SkyNet-1 (01)" was the payload if you'd like to confirm the timing for yourself. i have been curious about this for days
@@ixxxxxxx Thanks for the information 🙌
@@joaniemama111 of course! it bothered me for a bit as well lol wondering what this was
@@ixxxxxxx I understand that! I'd filmed the Blue Spiral on live from The Subaru Telescope and checked Starlink Launches and sure as shyte the time matched up! I still wonder though why that spiral was filmed in Norway BEFORE Starlink was a thing. Much Love!
Wonderful 🤩🤩🤩
thats just the ISS' ISS stands for international space station.
Wow! fantastic photography… Thank You for sharing!
So beautiful! Well done.
Brief 20-minute display last night starting around 3:24:36 in the video - actual time about 11:25 p.m. CDT. This would have sparked great interest and coverage had it not been for the previous night's aurorapalooza.
Everything about this is wonderful! It is so cool to see the stars move too. I witnessed some last night, and it is one thing to see it here, but when it was happening all around me, it felt like it was ALIVE, like a being and like I could feel the heartbeat. We also saw some that went from east to west and looked like star bursts, or flowers.... it was really incredible! Thank you for this video, you captured much more than I could handle looking up for! It was also freezing cold out, I had my winter coat on! (in the Midwest).
Way cool! Ty for sharing 🙏👊💕💖

Downloaded this, used my AI software to turn it into 4K quality, even more stunning. Bet the real thing was amazing? Very rare.
Clear skies in Minnesota, darkness in 4 hours. saw nothing last nite only a cam showed mild colors
Anyone in West Europe watching your now dark, what are you seeing?
More rare no-bs g5-level solar storms ongoing thru Monday. this is the same level as the 1859 Carrington storm that fried ancient telegraph terminals - luckily the grid is tuned really well against this kind of event
Dan - I'm curious how much of this was visible to the naked eye? I had similar views here in Wisconsin via a camera lens, but was surprising how muted it was when not using the camera.
I saw nearly nothing in central Minnesota - need ultra-dark skies, or a cell phone cam which is better than our eyes
hardly any visible aurora in Minnesota last nite, will be up till 1am for more. My last bright-green aurora was in far-north Minnesota in 1983
Thank you for this timelapse.
Amazing! An awesome presentation. Thank you for loving the sky.
Beautiful! Watched some of this live, last night. Thanks for sharing!
It was impressive. Thanks for the stream. The chat needed some TLC at times. 😉
Sorry about the chat. It was my first live-stream and I didn't have time to deal with it.
@@missouriskies No worries! If you ever need an extra hand, I have one. Awesome first live stream.
What a nice road -- the center line is actually visible.
Wow! Thank you so much for posting this
First of a few and many thanks for sharing this historical moment - good bless
